Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming:

Numerous supporters looked on as two high-ranking Hells Angels officers accused of plotting to kill an underworld rival made a brief appearance in court last Thursday.
The show of support for Mark Stephenson, president of the Oshawa chapter, and Remond Akleh, a former Oshawa boss and a member of the elite Nomads wing of the gang, has been a common sight since the two were arrested in the fall of 2006 on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
A number of people including Mr. Akleh's relatives, Mr. Stephenson's parents and fellow bikers have consistently flowed into courtrooms, following each and every moment of their bail hearings, preliminary proceedings and now, pre-trial appearances before Superior Court Justice Edwin Minden.
They waited a couple of hours for what turned out to be just a few minutes of court time. Prior to that, lawyers Glen Orr and Brian Grys met privately with Crown Mitchell Flagg to discuss issues that must be resolved before any trial can begin.
Mr. Stephenson, of Sunderland, and Mr. Akleh, who lives near Cobourg, were among more than two dozen bikers and associates swept up in Operation Tandem, a multi-force police strike launched against the Angels and other gangs in September 2006. While most of those busted were charged with drug-related crimes, the two powerful bikers were charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Mr. Akleh is free on bail while Mr. Stephenson remains in custody. Their next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 24.

The Pope and Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC) are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.

'Her Majesty' and His Holiness, however, have seen it all before, so to make it a little more interesting, the senator says to the Pope, 'Did you know that with just one little wave of my hand I can make every Democrat in the crowd go wild?'
He doubts it, so she shows him.

Sure enough, the wave elicits rapture and cheering from every democrat in the crowd.

Gradually, the cheering subsides.

The Pope, not wanting to be out done by such a level of arrogance, considers what he could do.

'That was impressive.
But did you know that with just one little wave of MY hand I can make EVERY person in the crowd go crazy with joy?
This joy will not be a momentary display like that of your subjects, but will go deep into their hearts, and they will forever speak of this day and rejoice.
The senator seriously doubts this, and says so.
'One little wave of your hand and all people will rejoice forever? Show me.
 So the Pope slapped her.

Wisconsin Assembly bill 600, introduced by Representative Jeffery L. Mursau (R-Crivitz), would expand the State Trails Council from 9 to 11 members and would require that one of the council's representatives be an off-highway motorcycle rider. The State Trails Council advises the Department of Natural Resources regarding the planning and management of state trail systems.  The California Air Resources Board (CARB) announced recently that it concluded an investigation against Dynojet Research, Inc. At issue was the company's "Power Commander" that can be used to alter the air-fuel mixture and engine timing of on- and off-road motorcycles. CARB said that the installation of these devices would adversely affect the emissions control systems of vehicles that were certified by the original equipment manufacturers to comply with the agency's emissions standards. Dynojet has now certified a California version of the "Power Commander" and has agreed to pay $1,000,000 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund.

Seven members of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang were arrested today following an 11-month operation by Queensland Police and the Crime and Misconduct Commission.

Operation Foxtrot Leach began in February 2007 after a number of incidents nationally flared already volatile relations between outlaw motorcycle gangs the Rebels and Bandidos.

Last February, a number of Bandidos and associates on motorcycles were returning from a barbecue on Bribie Island when members of the Rebels allegedly drove directly into them along Caboolture-Bribie Island Road.

A number of Bandidos were knocked from their bikes and allegedly assaulted by the Rebels with baseball bats and lengths of timber.

At least one shot from a firearm was allegedly fired from one of the Rebel vehicles, striking a Bandido in the arm, but he did not receive medical treatment.

One man was airlifted to hospital and another two were taken by ambulance to hospital after the run-in.

Three men, all Rebels, were arrested soon after the incident.

Further investigations followed and resulted in a number of search warrants being executed today, resulting in the arrest of more members of the Rebels gang.
The State of Canberra, Australia said recently it would ban motorcycle gangs such as the Hells Angels and the Bandidos in what the government said would be the world's toughest crackdown on "terrorists within our community."
South Australian Premier Mike Rann named eight bike clubs he said were involved in murder, drug trafficking, prostitution, extortion and weapons smuggling.
Clubs targeted by the ban would include the Finks, the Rebels, the Gypsy Jokers, the Descendants, the Red Devils and others.
The Australian Crime Commission's 2006 report found there were 35 outlaw motorcycle clubs in Australia, with
3,500 members. It said 10 gangs had opened 26 new chapters in all six states last year.
Officials said the ban would involve around 200 members, as well as associates. Outlawed members would be prohibited from meeting or communicating, or risk five-year jail terms. Police would also be empowered to dismantle club property and force members to account for any unexplained wealth or income.
