To stop the static shock in rooms with wall to wall carpeting, fill a spray bottle with a mixture of one part liquid fabic softener and five parts water, then lightly mist the carpet.

Easy Clean-ups:
Stock up on aluminum foil when it's on sale. Cover any pan going into the oven with foil for easy clean-up.
Cover plates or serving plattters with foil for easy clean-up before placing anything messy or greasy like hamburgers or BBQ ribs. This will save you alot of time doing dishes and scrubbing pots and pans.

Adjusting The Thermostat:
When adjusting the thermostat by hand, remember that the house will not warm up or cool down any faster if you crank up the thermostat past the desired temperature.
Besides, it is easy to forget to turn it back down, which will waste energy dollars.

Windows has been sold in more than a dozen flavors since its debut in November 1985. How do you know what version your computer has? Did it really come with Windows XP?

Open the Start menu, right-click on My Computer, and choose Properties. Click the General tab, if that page isn't already showing.

Under the word System, Windows displays its version and version number.

Death Row lived up to its name for convicted murderer Robert Frederick Garceau, but not in the way one might think.

Garceau, 58, died Wednesday of cancer at Novato Community Hospital, where he had been treated since Dec. 14.
He became the 27th condemned inmate to die of natural causes at San Quentin State Prison since the death penalty was reinstated in California in 1978.

Garceau, a Hells Angels motorcycle gang member, was convicted of the Sept. 1, 1984, murders of his girlfriend, Maureen Bautista, and her 14-year-old son in Bakersfield. He was sentenced to an additional 33 years to life for killing a fellow drug dealer in Monterey County on Feb. 19, 1985, while he was still at large for the first killings.

New Jersey Police are trying to solve the mystery behind a bloody battle in Burlington County and officials fear they may have a gang war on their hands.

CBS 3’s Tamsen Fadal reports the brawl broke out on New Year's Eve, in the end, one man had to be airlifted to Cooper Hospital. Although he has now been released, his attackers are still out there and now police could use your help.

It was a bloody New Year's Eve brawl outside the Woodshed Bar in Burlington County. State Police say it ended with a reputed member of the Hells Angels beaten with a board so badly he had to he airlifted to Cooper Hospital.

“They deal in drugs, methamphetamines, things like that so they are violent people,” said John Appledorn of the Philadelphia Crime Commission.

Fadal reports that the recent flare up could be the start of a new round of underworld violence between biker gangs. CBS 3 has learned members of the “Warlocks,” a rival gang, were also inside the bar.

Former pagan Jimmy DeGregorio knows the code of violence first hand: "Pagans are an outlaw motorcycle. The club insignia is one percent. That means 99 percent of people live by society's rules. One percent doesn't. That's what an outlaw is."

Just two years ago, the biggest outlaw club in the world, the Hells Angels, began expanding into the Delaware Valley and since then, there have been a series of violent attacks between the gangs.

Despite whatever happens next between the Hells Angels and the local outlaw bikers, Fadal says that DeGregorio believes he knows how it will all end: "You get buried in a shallow grave. You get hung by the sheriff. It ends violently because it’s a violent life. All my ex-friends are either dead or in prison. There is no one doing good.” The New Jersey State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the attack outside the Woodshed Bar in Burlington County to come forward to help them identify the attackers.
