Have Grease Stains on your wallpaper?
Try mixing corn starch and water and make into a paste.
Rub on with a soft, clean cloth. Test this in an inconspicuous area first.

Little Jordan was staying with his grandmother for a few days.

He'd been playing outside for a while when he came into the house and asked her, "Grandma, what is it called when people are sleeping on top of each other?" . . . . She was a little taken a back by his question but decided to be honest and frank with him.

"It's called sexual intercourse, darling."

Little Jordan just said, "OK" and went back outside to play.

A few minutes later he came back in and said angrily . . .

"Grandma, it is not called sexual intercourse!

It's called bunk beds!

Some Walmart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item:

Walmart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto,California, to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2-5 range.

While wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Walmart brand wine into their shopping carts, there is a market for cheap wine, said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.
She said: "The right name is important."

So, here we go: The top 12 suggested names for Walmart Wine:

ASSOCIATED PRESS
12:01 p.m. October 8, 2004 PANAMA CITY, Fla. – A man who admitted deliberately ramming a stolen pickup truck into six Outlaws motorcycle gang members, killing two, has been convicted of murder and attempted murder charges.

Timothy Pilgreen, 26, could receive the death penalty on the murder convictions. That's what he said he wanted in a jailhouse interview following his arrest last year.

Jurors convicted Pilgreen, of Texarkana, Ark., on Thursday after asking to listen again to his taped confession. Pilgreen declined to testify, but on the tapes he told police, "If one of them dies, I guess you could call it premeditation."

The jury began hearing additional testimony Friday before making a recommendation on whether Pilgreen should receive death or life in prison without parole, the only other option.

Sentencing will be up to Circuit Judge Don T. Sirmons, but he must give the jury's recommendation great weight. The panel also convicted Pilgreen of battery on a law enforcement officer.

Pilgreen was convicted of killing Donald Dunham, 61, and his wife, Nola S. Zeitler, 47, of the Outlaws' Bay City, Mich., chapter on Oct. 29 as they were riding on a motorcycle at nearby Panama City Beach following an altercation with the bikers at a fishing pier.

Pilgreen said he got angry after Dunham belittled him at the pier and would have continued his rampage if he had not crashed into a ditch.

"It's by the grace of God that I got stuck," Pilgreen told police. "I wish I had got stuck a long time ago, before I even got to Florida."

His public defender, Walter Smith, said Pilgreen acted on impulse and should have been charged with vehicular homicide or manslaughter.

"This is nothing more than road rage committed by a mentally ill, intoxicated person who is mad at the world," he said. "There's a big difference in wanting to hurt somebody and wanting to kill somebody."
FLFLHTC:  I can't even comment on this asshole.

Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government. This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice anything special about those dates?

Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.

Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men.
Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).

Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to avoid paying his own.

Oct 03, 2004 (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News via COMTEX) -- Harley-Davidson dealers have long relied on Harley-Davidson money to get off to a rolling start. Now, a division of General Electric Co. wants to refill their financial tanks.

An arm of GE Commercial Finance, which provides business loans, intends to increase its motorcycle dealership financing from about $15 million a year to more than $100 million a year.

To kick-start the plan, the Scottsdale, Ariz., unit of General Electric is aiming for Harley's network of about 650 U.S. dealers, gunning for those that want to expand in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Dealers typically turn to Harley-Davidson Financial Services when they need lines of credit for bikes, accessories and other inventory. But there's more to the business than that, and when dealers have needed financing for buildings, expansion or to acquire another dealership, they have turned to banks and finance companies. GE is roaring into that category.

Dealers need plenty of cash to fuel their ambitions.

The beige-box storefront is giving way to dealerships that offer everything from clothes to rental bikes to toys.
Having made more than $3 billion in loans to franchises, hotels and restaurants, GE Commercial Finance has the cash and the know-how to market to the 14,000 motorcycle dealerships in the U.S., said Tom Quindlen, president and CEO of GE Commercial Finance, Franchise Finance.

"There's a big opportunity in Harley alone," he said in an interview last week.
"And because we have studied the motorcycle industry, and we have become comfortable with the risks, we believe that we can help it grow dramatically. We are looking to grow this business to between $100 million and $150 million per year. That's how attractive we think it is."

Attention American Voters...

I am a senior citizen.  During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job.  I  took numerous vacations, and enjoyed several vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse.

I lost my job.
I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War.
I lost my homes.
I lost my health insurance.

As a matter of fact I lost virtually everything and became homeless.  Adding insult to injury, when the authorities found me living like an animal, instead of helping me, they arrested me.  I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure that a Democrat is back in the White House come next year.

President Bush has to go.

Sincerely,

Saddam Hussein

Word of the Day

nexus \NEK-sus\ noun

*1 : connection, link; also : a causal link
2 : a connected group or series
3 : center, focu
Example sentence:
The scientific study uncovered a nexus between unhealthy eating habits and certain forms of heart disease.
Did you know?
"Nexus" is all about connections. The word comes from "nectere," a Latin verb meaning "to bind." A number of other English words are related to "nectere." The most obvious is "connect," but "annex" (meaning "to attach as an addition," or more specifically "to incorporate into a political domain") is related as well. When "nexus" came into English in the 17th century, it meant "connection." Eventually, it took on the additional meaning "connected series" (as in "a nexus of relationships"). In the past few decades it has taken a third meaning: "center" (as in "the trade nexus of the region"), perhaps from the notion that a point in the center of an arrangement serves to join together the objects that surround it.
