January 14-16, 2005 Madison, WI http://www.madjugglers.com/madfest/ 608-256-3307 MadFest is a free regional juggling festival. For those wishing to juggle knives, chain saws, flaming kittens, or anything that might damage the expansive floors of the venue, space will be provided ON Lake Mendota (notice we did not say near Lake Mendota). Inside there will be juggling, workshops, catching, demos, dropping, competitions, pickups, vendors, excuses, parties, apologies, a raffle, and relief from wind chill low enough to shrivel silicone. Plus, you get to eat for free all the snow your body can hold!
Madfest's continuing endeavor to show off new and exciting snowscapes in the shape of the new and exciting parts of Madison has reached unprecedented levels, and they are literally beside themselves with glee to announce that the
2005 47th Annual MadFest will not be held in Madison.
No, really. They will be gathering in Oregon (the village, 12 miles south of downtown Madison) at the Netherwood Knoll Elementary School, which offers a large gym and cafeteria for Friday night, and at the even larger Oregon High School Field House for Saturday and Sunday.
Baking Soda can be used for many jobs around the house, scrubbing sinks, bath tub, stove, refrigerator and laundry.
It leaves everything smelling nice and cleans just as good as any cleanser without scratching enamel.
Holiday Safety Tips:
1. Do not overload electrical circuits.
2. Check all lights for damaged sockets, plugs or cords.
Repair or replace anything that looks defective.
3. Only use UL or FM labeled extension cords.
4. Don't run electrical cords under rugs or carpeting.

Surveillance pictures captured last February at a Sarasota carwash gripped a nation. And the images showing the abduction of Carlie Brucia still haunt her father.
JOE BRUCIA / CARLIE’S FATHER:
"It’s a horrible thing to see. It’s horrible if that child were a stranger to you, but being a parent you can imagine how much more an impact it would have."
In Carlie’s memory, Joe Brucia is now endorsing a product he thinks could have possibly saved Carlie. The security backpack contains an alarm system with a siren and flashing lights.
JOE BRUCIA / CARLIE’S FATHER:
"There were people within close proximity and had a device like this been triggered, it would have gained their
attention.
Brucia receives a percentage of profits from the backpack. He says most of that money will go into a charitable fund to help families with similar tragedies.
Brucia will never know if the backpack could have saved his daughter’s life, but he hopes helping others can be part of Carlie's legacy.
JOE BRUCIA / CARLIE’S FATHER:
"If it helps one child that would be wonderful, but I hope it helps many."

FLFLHTC: Now you just know I could not let this go unnoticed. I
have a very big problem with the father of a murdered child
receiving money from the sale of a product. I don't care if he
does give most of it to charity. This is just flat ass wrong!
Motorcycle gang associate busted for drug trafficking By Tom Farmer Friday, December 10, 2004 A reputed associate of the Outlaws motorcycle gang was charged with drug trafficking yesterday in Manchester, N.H., after police seized cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs from his truck and home.
Michael Hunt, 36, was also found with T-shirts and other paraphernalia from the Outlaws gang, which has chapters throughout the United States. Hunt was stopped for speeding by a state trooper Wednesday and a series of search warrants resulted in the seizure of some 600 grams of cocaine as well as marijuana, Vicodin, Viagra and $12,000 in cash.
Manchester police Sgt. Mark Fowke said local and state police are monitoring an uptick in activity by such biker gangs as the Outlaws and Hells Angels, which often subsidize their criminal activities with drug dealing.
``We are aware of activities by outlaw biker gangs and have various investigations going,'' Fowke said.
``Although they are saying there isn't a direct connection (of Hunt) to outlaw motorcycle gangs, there is that potential.''
Firefox, the open-source challenger to market heavyweight Internet Explorer, has surpassed 10 million downloads in a little more than a month since the browser was released in November.
The free Web browser from the Mozilla Foundation surpassed 10 million downloads on Saturday as Web surfers continue to move away from Microsoft's market-dominating IE. The milestone highlights growing frustration with the security vulnerabilities that have dogged IE during the past few months. Nearly two dozen holes in the Web browser have been discovered during the fall, ranging in degrees of seriousness.
Firefox's surge has helped Mozilla cut into Microsoft's dominance of the Web browser market, with the software giant's market share dropping to less than 90 percent. Dutch market researcher OneStat.com reported last month that IE's market share had slipped to 88.9 percent in the third week of November, down 5 percentage points from its share in May. Mozilla-based browsers, including Firefox, rose to 7.4 percent, up 5 percentage points from May.
"It seems that people are switching from Microsoft's Internet Explorer to Mozilla's new Firefox browser," Niels Brinkman, co-founder of OneStat.com, said in a statement in November.
Microsoft has disputed these numbers, claiming that they do not represent corporate users.
