The most visited cemetery in the world is Cimetière du Père Lachaise. Established in 1805, the lush grounds contain the tombs of over one million people, including such luminaries as composer Chopin; singer Édith Piaf; writers Oscar Wilde, Molière, Balzac, Marcel Proust, and Gertrude Stein; artists David, Delacroix, Pissarro, Seurat, and Modigliani; actors Sarah Bernhardt, Simone Signoret, and Yves Montand; and dancer Isadora Duncan. Cimetière du Père Lachaise's most visited tomb, however, is that of the Doors' lead singer, Jim Morrison, who died of an overdose in Paris in 1971.

A
couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them
wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules,
goats, and
pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a
day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000. The wife replied,
"The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to
men... The husband then turned to his wife and asked,
"What?"

A
man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so
stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
“The
wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so
you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would
be attracted to you!

Husband and wife were in the midst of a violent quarrel, and hubby was
losing his temper. "Be careful," he said to his wife.
"You will bring out the beast in me." "So what?"
his wife shot back. "Who's afraid of a mouse?"

The name of the first airplane flown at Kitty Hawk by the Wright Brothers, on December 17, 1903, was "Flyer." The maiden flight of Flyer, however, was less than a flight- the plane stayed in the air only 12 seconds. The brothers flew three more times that day, with their final flight covering 852 feet in 59 seconds.
U.S. residents are moving at some of the lowest rates in more than 50 years, the U.S. Census Bureau reports. Forty million people moved between 2002 and 2003, 14 percent of the population, down from a rate of 20 percent in 1948 when the Census Bureau first began collecting data on moving. For those who changed residences between 2002 and 2003, 51 percent moved for housing-related reasons, 26 percent for family reasons and
16 percent for work-related reasons. Between 2002 and 2003, the Midwest and the Northeast experienced net losses of about
100,000 to other states, while the South gained 125,000 and the West gained 74,000.

VOLUNTARY MOTORCYCLE RECALL
MILWAUKEE (March 26, 2004) - On Monday, March 22nd Harley-Davidson
Motor Company advised its U.S. dealers of a voluntary recall on a
circuit breaker which is used on certain 2001 through 2003 model
motorcycles. Widely circulated media coverage of this recall
inaccurately reported the models that are affected.
The vehicles included in this recall are
fuel-injected 2001 to 2003 model year Electra Glide Classics and
Electra Glide Ultra Classics (models FLHTCI and FLHTCUI), 2001 model
year Screamin’ Eagle Road Glides (model FLTRSEI-2) and 2001 to 2003
model year police motorcycles (models FLHPI, FLHPEI, and FLHTPI).
Upon notification from the Motor Company in
the next few weeks, owners of these motorcycles are encouraged to take
their vehicle to a Harley-Davidson dealer to have the appropriate
service performed. The required service is expected to take less than
one hour and is provided free of charge to the owner.

A local Hells Angels member was granted bail yesterday on charges
stemming from a bar fight. Biker Shane Kirton, 37, faces charges of
assault, assault with a weapon, causing a disturbance and failing to
comply with a probation order.
He was denied bail in provincial court last
week, but granted release yesterday.
Kirton was sentenced to eight months in jail
in November 2002 for the baseball-bat beating of rival gang member
Mario Adamo.
Earlier that year, he was fined $500 after
"belly-bumping" a police officer last year outside a St.
James bar.
UKIAH - A Ukiah court Tuesday held in
contempt a man convicted of murdering a former Vallejo family, for
refusing to testify against an alleged accomplice.
The judge gave Gerald "Butch" Lester, the only person
convicted for the 1986 murder of the Grondalski family, more prison
time, but he's already serving four life sentences.
Lester refused to testify Monday in the trial of Charles Anthony Diaz,
the former Hells Angels leader charged with the murder of one of the
family members. Lester said Monday he would not testify because it
could jeopardize his pending appeal.
Lester was convicted November 1997, after three trials, for the
October 1986 killings of the Grondalski family, which included parents
Bill, 32, and Patty, 34, Dallas, 5, and Jeremy Vandegriff, 17, a son
from a previous marriage. Diaz is accused of slitting the 5-year-old's
throat before Gerald Lester shot her. The murder took place after the
family moved to Fort Bragg from Vallejo, where Bill Grondalski had
been a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club.

Contrary to popular opinion, the majority of U.S. taxpayers are early birds when it comes to filing their income taxes.
A survey by the National Retail Federation and BIGresearch finds 65 percent of consumers say they already filed in January or February. The Internal Revenue Service says the average refund was $2,182. Nearly 21 percent plan to file this month and only 14 percent said they'll wait until April, reports CNN/Money magazine. Almost 70 percent of those surveyed said they expected to receive a tax refund this year.

Under and Alone, based on the story of undercover agent Billy Queen, who infiltrated the Mongols motorcycle club, will be coming to theaters this year.
The movie, which will be starred by Mel Gibson, comes from agent Queens autobiography in which he tells of how he successfully hid his identity and rose through the club's ranks, becoming the treasurer and witnessing many crimes, including murder and drug dealing.
As a result of Queen's undercover work, in May 2000, the club was busted by the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
The producer is Bruce Davey and studio is Warner Brothers.
