Featuring regional and award winning Artists with original works and prints, authentic custom-designed pottery, stained glass, sculpture, unique metal art, wood carvings, yard art and more Salty Dogs. Be sure to strut your mutt in the pet parade.
Prizes awarded for cutest, ugliest, best costume & looks most like owner. The festival is located downtown on scenic Marine Street along Carrabelle’s beautiful Riverwalk.

Located in the panhandle of Florida, Carrabelle is laid-back and quiet... rural Florida. Here on "Florida's Forgotten Coast" you will find one of the last unspoiled areas in Florida.

The owner of a drug store hires a new clerk. He shows the clerk around and is putting the clerk through the usual training when all of a sudden the owner of the drug store is called away on an emergency.

" Keep an eye on things" the owner tells the clerk. " I will be back shortly".

Right after the owner leaves, a man walks into the drug store with a terrible cough. " Give me the best cough syrup that you have", hacks the man.

The clerk looks all around for some cough medicine and can't find any. He finally gives up and hands the man a bottle of laxative. "Here, drink this" says the clerk.

The man grabbed the bottle of laxative and drank it straight down.

The owner of a drug store returns and sees the guy leaning heavily against a wall. The owner asks the clerk, "What's with that guy over there by the wall?"

The clerk says, "Well, he came in here to get something for his cough. I couldn't find the cough syrup, so I gave him an entire bottle of laxative."

The owner says, "You idiot! You can't treat a cough with laxatives!"

The clerk says, "Oh yeah? Look at him, he's afraid to cough!"
Thanks Carl

A man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him.

He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman behind him hit the roof, and the horn, screaming in frustration as she missed her chance to get through the intersection. As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. He took her to the police station where she was searched, finger printed, photographed and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk. Naturally, I assumed you had stolen the car."
Thanks Bullet

Hillary Visits an Elementary School ...

Hillary Clinton goes to a primary school in New York to talk about the world. After her talk she offers question time.

One little boy puts up his hand. The Senator asks him what his name is.

"Kenneth."

"And what is your question, Kenneth?"

"I have three questions: First - whatever happened to your medical health care plan? Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? And, Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary Clinton informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess. When they resume Hillary says, "Okay where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

A different little boy puts his hand up; Hillary points him out and asks him what his name is.

"Larry."

"And what is your question, Larry?"

"I have five questions: First - whatever happened to your medical health care plan? Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House? Fourth - why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early? And, Fifth - what happened to Kenneth?

Concert is canceled out of a fear of gang violence April 22, 2005 PORTLAND, Maine -- Portland police fear that a shooting this week at a tattoo parlor may have been the prelude to a turf war among motorcycle gangs and are planning a crackdown in hopes of preventing further violence.

Police Chief Michael Chitwood said he is boosting patrols in anticipation of a retaliatory attack following the shooting Tuesday of Dennis Towne, 58, of Denmark at the Portland Tattoo Shop. The bullet grazed Towne's groin before passing through his leg.

At Chitwood's request, Portland officials yesterday canceled a June 16 concert at the Portland Expo by country music performer David Allan Coe because of security concerns. Chitwood told officials that Coe, who is known as an outlaw musician, is a big draw for motorcycle gang members. Holding a concert that would attract large numbers of bikers in one location would serve as a magnet for violence between rival motorcycle gangs, he said.

Police believe the shooting was a premeditated attack by members of the Outlaws motorcycle gang on a group believed to be allied with Hell's Angels.

''We're not going to let them come in and shoot up our city," Chitwood told reporters Wednesday. ''It endangers an entire community."

The last time motorcycle gang rivalries flared, Portland police responded with a major increase in downtown patrols. For the most part, the conflict passed.

Chitwood said Tuesday's early afternoon attack appears to signal that the Outlaws are trying to expand their dominance into Maine.

A group of motorcyclists wearing Outlaws insignia on their clothing confronted three men wearing insignia of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, according to police. There was an argument, followed by a fistfight and then a gunshot.

Chitwood said there is no indication that the victim knew his attackers.

April 24, 2005 An Ashland police officer quit his job last year after an internal investigation alleged that he had extorted a Harley-Davidson motorcycle from a local man.

Donald Weld Jr. of Ashland surrendered his badge, police uniform, and gun -- and the motorcycle -- in July when faced with possible criminal prosecution on charges of extortion, larceny, operating a motorcycle without a license, and failure to report a domestic assault, according to a recently released police report.

''Officer Weld extorted the property of [an Ashland man] by threatening to pursue legal action against him if he did not sign over the title of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle to Officer Weld," Sergeant David Whitney, who investigated the case, wrote in a July 14, 2004, report.

Whitney presented his findings to Weld at police headquarters on July 16, 2004. Later the same day, Weld resigned in a hand-written letter.

Weld could not be reached for comment. His father, Donald Weld Sr., declined to discuss the matter and said his son was out of state and unavailable.

When confronted with the allegations by the police, Weld denied he did anything wrong and said he had been given the motorcyle for helping a friend with a lot of mechanical work, the report said.

Emily LaGrassa, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney, said the case was never turned over to the district attorney for prosecution.

Neither town counsel Dave Thomas nor Police Chief Roy Melnick returned calls seeking comment on the case, first reported by the MetroWest Daily News. The internal affairs report was one of eight last year that were recently released to the media.

Weld had witnessed a friend of his assault a woman, the report alleged. Weld allegedly told his friend that he had been given five days of suspension by the police chief for not reporting the crime.

The friend tried to make amends, offering to call the police chief, give Weld a truck, or give him as much as $6,000 so he could take his family on vacation. Weld eventually accepted the Harley-Davidson, the report alleged.

Weld had been disciplined around that time for other reasons, including being found drunk while off-duty.
