Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming:
WOW - What a Ride!"

WWE Diva Fired Because She Wasn't Story By: Ryan Gray Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter Two weeks ago Shelly Martinez (a/k/a Ariel) was released from WWE. The reason why backstage was that she didn't have the "right look". This is Vince's nice way of saying "you're not pretty enough".

Vince was negative on Martinez from the very start, but was persuaded by Heyman to bring her up since she did such a good job playing the nympho role in Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Vince never understood the idea of goth characters and likes divas with the "model" look. With Heyman gone from the company Martinez had a very little support backstage.

Some rumors circulated that she was released over an incident with Batista, however these are apparently false.

Road rage is sending a member of the Pagans Outlaw Motorcycle Club back to prison.
Robert Chillinsky, 42, of North Huntingdon, was sentenced Tuesday to six months behind bars for violating terms of his supervised release. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail pending assignment to a federal prison.

Chllinsky was one of 73 Pagans indicted after they attacked a rival gang during the 2002 Hellraiser Ball in New York.

He initially was sentenced to 27 months in jail and three years' supervised released after being convicted in connection with the Pagans-led assault on Feb. 23, 2002.

Tennessee House Bill 1335, sponsored by Representative Rob Briley (D-Nashville), and Senate Bill 794, sponsored by Senator Tim Burchett (R-Knoxville), would provide for increased fines and suspension of license/permit/driving privileges for anyone convicted of a right-of-way violation involving serious injury or death.
SB-794 has been scheduled for a floor vote in the Senate.
Volunteer State riders are encouraged to call, write, or visit your representative and senator to let them know how you feel about increasing penalties for those offenses who injure or kill other roadway users in Tennessee. Or use the “TAKE ACTION” feature on www.AMADirectlink.com to compose and send an electronic message or hardcopy printout of your support for HB-1335 and SB-794.
SED: The Replacement for CRT?

As the era of the cathode ray tube television draws to a close, a new and somewhat similar technology called SED (surface-conduction electron-emitter display) has begun to trickle out of the labs. Toshiba and Canon are the two big proponents of this technology, which is in many ways a hybrid of the CRT and the plasma display.

SED displays are designed to be thin and flat, like a plasma TV, but at the same time provide the bright picture and the deep, deep blacks of a CRT. Essentially, an SED display takes the electron gun of a CRT and turns it into a big flat panel that sends the electrons across a small vacuum to the phosphors on another flat panel of glass. It looks like a plasma display (because it’s thin and flat), but because it uses electrons hitting a phosphor layer, it has all the picture benefits of a CRT. And the great thing is that an SED can be high resolution (easily meeting the 1920 x
1080 resolution of the highest HDTV standards) while using less than half the power that a plasma or LCD flat panel uses.

SED may be the next big thing in flat-panel displays (unless the LCD and plasma manufacturers can keep up!).
Toshiba and Canon have announced that the first stage of mass production of SEDs will begin in July 2007. Keep your eyes peeled!

Tennessee Senate Bill 1511 has passed the Tennessee Senate. SB 1511 would further modify the states helmet laws for adults. Senator Tim Burchett has once again championed "Freedom of Choice" for Tennessee motorcyclists. The bill now goes to a House Transportation subcommittee for a hearing.

A Pennsylvania lawmaker has introduced a bill to make helmets mandatory for motorcycle riders again. Since 2003, helmet use has been optional for those who are at least 21 and have been licensed to ride for two years or who have finished a state-approved safety course.
State Rep. Dan Frankel of Allegheny County said there are too many deaths and injuries because of the no helmet option and said the associated medial costs are driving up costs to the public.

This Travel Warning updates ongoing security concerns in Colombia and reminds American citizens of those concerns. This supersedes the Travel Warning issued January 18, 2006.

The Department of State warns U.S. citizens of the dangers of travel to Colombia. Violence by narcoterrorist groups and other criminals continues to affect all parts of the country, urban and rural.

Violence has continued to decrease markedly in most urban areas, including Bogotá, Medellin, Barranquilla, and Cartagena. The level of violence in Cali, Buenaventura, and the surrounding areas remains high, largely as a result of the illicit drug trade. Many rural areas of Colombia remain extremely dangerous due to the presence of narcoterrorists and Colombian government operations against them.

Terrorist groups such as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the National Liberation Army (ELN), and other criminal organizations, continue to kidnap civilians for ransom or as political bargaining chips.
No one can be considered immune from kidnapping on the basis of occupation, nationality, or other factors. The FARC have held three American official contractors hostage since February 2003. Although the U.S. government places the highest priority on the safe recovery of kidnapped Americans, it is U.S. policy not to make concessions to or strike deals with kidnappers. Consequently, the U.S. government’s ability to assist kidnapping victims is limited.

U.S. government officials and their families in Colombia are permitted to travel to major cities in the country, but only by air. They are not allowed to use inter- or intra-city bus transportation. They also are not permitted to travel by road outside of urban areas at night. All Americans in Colombia are urged to follow these precautions.
