The following is from an e-mail I received. I have not had the time to verify the facts I will let you decide.

  BEWARE Following is a brief backround on Mrs. John Kerry . She hates being called that, by the way:

Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry. Married Senator Kerry in 1995. She only took his name eighteen months ago and she is an "interesting" paradox of conflicts.

If you thought John Kerry was scary, he doesn't hold a candle to his wife! Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry was born in Mozambique, the daughter of a Portuguese physician, was educated in Switzerland and South Africa. Fluent in five languages, she was working as a United Nations interpreter in Geneva in the mid-60's when she met a "handsome" young American, H. John Heinz, III, who worked at a bank in Geneva. He told her his family was "in the food business."

They were married in 1966 and returned to Pittsburgh where his family ran the giant H. J. Heinz food company. He was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1971, and in 1976 he was elected to the first of three terms in the United States Senate. A Republican, he wrote a burning diatribe against some of the causes backed by young House member John Kerry.)

Several years later, in 1991, he was killed when his plane collided with a Sun Oil Company helicopter over a Philadelphia suburb. The senator, his pilot and copilot, and both of Sun's helicopter pilots were killed. He was survived by his wife, Teresa, and their three young sons.

Four years later, having inherited Heinz's $500 million fortune, she married Senator John Forbes Kerry, the liberal then-junior senator from Massachusetts. She became a registered Democrat and the process of her radicalization was set in motion.

Heinz Kerry is not shy about telling people that she required Kerry to sign a prenuptial agreement before they were married. John Kerry may not have check writing privileges on the Heinz catsup and pickle fortune, but he is certainly a willing and uncomplaining beneficiary of it.

A lot of hard-earned money, made through many years of hawking catsup, mustard, and pickles has fallen into the hands of two people who despise successful entrepreneurship and who believe in the confiscatory redistribution of wealth.

So how does Mrs. Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz's money?

Just one example:

According to the G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter of WorldNetDaily, in the years between 1995-2001 she gave more than $4 million to an organization called the Tides Foundation. And what does the Tides Foundation do with John Heinz's money?

They support numerous antiwar groups, including Ramsey Clark's International Action Center. Clark has offered to defend Saddam Hussein when he's tried.

They support the Democratic Justice Fund, a joint venture of the Tides Foundation and billionaire hate-monger George Soros. The Democratic Justice Fund seeks to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration from "terrorist" states.

They support the Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose leaders are known to have close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.

They support the National Lawyers Guild, organized as a communist front during the Cold War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart, has been arrested for helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, communicate with terror cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

They support the "Barrio Warriors," a radical Hispanic group whose primary goal is to return all of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas to Mexico.

These are but a few of the radical groups that benefit, through the anonymity provided by the Tides Foundation, from the generosity of our would-be first lady, the wealthy widow of Republican senator John Heinz, and now the wife of the Democratic senator who aspires to be the
44th President of the United States.

Aiding and supporting our enemies is not good for America, regardless of your political views.

If voters will open their eyes, educate themselves and see the real Teresa Heinz Kerry, they will not appreciate her position as ultra rich fairy godmother of the radical left. They will not want to imagine her laying her head on a pillow each night inches away from the President of the United States.

Hopefully they love this country enough to decide that the only way these two will ever be allowed into the White House is with an engraved invitation in hand.

Instead of deleting this, pass it on. Let everyone know these people are unfit to represent this great nation. The uninformed will never hear the truth from the press, who wants Kerry elected!

Those who buy the Kerry facade, beware what you vote for - - - you may regret that you got it!

RAILS AND BALES FESTIVAL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
September 21, 2004 Opelika, AL http://www.opelikamainst.org  334-745-0466 This annual festival, held in the fall, highlights the heritage of Opelika (a relaxed Southern city). Displays and demonstrations reflecting the city's history become the focus for this event. Opelika has a rich history and proud citizens who are eager to preserve their heritage and landmarks. Arts and crafts vendors display their merchandise. Food vendors are also in attendance with plenty of funnel cakes (my favorite) and hot dogs. Entertainment and activities for the kids are scheduled throughout the day.
The state of Maine has 62 lighthouses. One of the most famous (and oldest) is Portland's Head Light, which was commissioned by President George Washington.
Need to peel a bunch of oranges for a salad?
Just soak the oranges in boiling water for five minutes then peel as usual. As a bonus, the "white" part of the peel will come off along with the peel to give an awesome look to your salad.
If you get a rash from the back of a wrist watch, brush the back of the watch with clear nail polish.
When it wears off repeat. Sometimes if you have too much acid in your body this will happen.
British women revelers try bisexuality LONDON, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- A Daily Mirror survey indicates nearly a third of Britain's female revelers consider themselves bisexual and nearly half have at least kissed other women. About 31 percent of encounters occurred after chance meetings in clubs. Forty percent said they stop at kissing while 20 percent said they have had full sex and
8 percent said the encounters led to a full same-sex relationship. Some 20 percent of those queried said they "always felt bisexual" and 5 percent admitted imitating celebrity behavior. The Mirror surveyed 1,000 women across Britain who regularly go to clubs. Fifty-seven percent of those who claimed bisexuality consider themselves "dabblers" who have an occasional fling with another woman. Twenty-three percent said it is a serious lifestyle choice. A third said alcohol influenced their behavior and 18 percent blamed it on the clubbing atmospheres. Eight percent said drugs made a difference.
Pop star Britney Spears topped the list of women those surveyed would most like to bed, followed by Madonna, cover girl Abi Titmuss and party girl Rebecca Loos.
The Mirror said it queried partygoers in 10 towns and cities between the ages of 16 and 25.
Jerry Garcia - August 1, 1942 Band leader, guitarist, songwriter. Garcia dropped out of school at age 17 and served nine months in the U.S. Army before being discharged for poor conduct. He began playing folk and blues guitar in clubs in the San Francisco area. In
1965, he formed a band, the Warlocks, but upon discovering another group with that name, changed it to the Grateful Dead. The band first played "psychedelic" rock but then moved on to a more diverse repertory of rock styles in the
1970s. About 1974 the band's members began to go their own ways, and Garcia made solo appearances and albums. In the
1980s he became heavily addicted to drugs and after being arrested in 1985 he was sent to a treatment center; after emerging from a diabetic coma, he decided to turn his life around. He and his band made a comeback in 1987 with a hit single, "Touch of Gray" and an album, "In the Dark."
Although the group made over two dozen albums, they exper- ienced their greatest success in live concerts thanks to their loyal fans, known as "Deadheads."
August 3, 2004 A Hells Angels heavyweight has been brought in from the US to make the Darwin chapter's criminal activities run more efficiently.
The Northern Territory News understands that sections of the Angels international organisation have become increasingly concerned with "sloppiness" among Territory bikies.
The issue was brought to a head by an Australian Crime Commission investigation into the gang's activities and the arrest of a high-profile gang member.
The American bikie has been in Darwin for the past week.
The Northern Territory News has been told he is here to put the Darwin charter's "house in order".
The source said there was also concern that the Darwin chapter's behaviour left the Territory open to takeover bids by rival gangs.
Police have been monitoring interstate bikie gangs, including the Coffin Cheaters from Western Australia and the Gypsy Jokers from South Australia.
Police intelligence suggests the gangs are considering expanding their criminal operations.
The Gypsy Jokers have made no secret they want to move their headquarters after the SA Government passed laws to close down their fortified clubhouse.
Last year the Coffin Cheaters chose Darwin as the destination for their annual run - despite having no affiliations in the city - allegedly to scope out the Territory as a site for a new chapter.
"The Territory Hells Angels have kept a stranglehold on Darwin for a long time, but the Americans know better than anyone that when rival gangs are eyeing off your patch, you've got to have a strong and united front to keep them out," the source said.
Alberta will not be fertile ground for a turf war between the Hells Angels and Bandidos bike gangs, vows Solicitor General Heather Forsyth. "I'm not going to get into details about how we're preparing for the situation but I will say we're well aware of what's going on," she said. "We are not going to have another Quebec here."
The Bandidos have moved in on Angels territory setting up probationary chapters in Edmonton and Calgary.
"(The province) has committed $5 million to the IROC (Integrated Response to Organized Crime) team and $2.4 million to the Criminal Intelligence Service of Alberta (CISA)," Forsyth said.
As Hells Angels across the country made their way to a rendezvous in B.C. in July 2003, Jonathan Wade Pederson, the 28-year-old co-founder of the Calgary-based Deaths Hand Motorcycle Club, disappeared after going house-hunting with a full-patch member of the Calgary chapter of the Hells Angels.
He's still missing and no one has been arrested.
Six former Deaths Hand members have formed a probationary Bandidos chapter here.
Citing those incidents as possibly "an omen of violence," CISA director Ian Cameron said in his March 2004 report the establishment of any bike gang in Alberta "could lead to greater conflict with the Hells Angels."
