April 5th Cross Roads Wilderness Institute Run. (Bar-B-Q event) The Son Chasers chapter of the CMA will hold its quarterly run to Cross Roads to encourage the students. Cross Roads is an intervention program for "at risk" teenage boys, and is part of the Juvenile Justice System. Donations of appropriate books, magazines, snacks, or toiletries (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc) are appreciated. This run is open to anyone who wishes to be a positive influence in the lives of these young men. Cages are welcome. Son Chasers will meet at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant on Kings Hwy and I-75 in Port Charlotte, Fl. at 8:00 AM for breakfast, with KSU at 9:00 AM sharp. April 20th Emergency benefit ride for Laurie Blackwell. Laurie was seriously injured in a head-on car accident.
She is currently at a Rehab Facility where she will be staying for several months. Family would appreciate any help with the mounting bills. Ride starts at Peggy's Corral. May 3rd CMA's " Run For The Son " About the Run for the Son. It is the only fundraiser that Christian Motorcyclists Association does. It is held the 1st Sat of May every year. All money goes 100% to outreach programs; 20% to Missionary Ventures, 20% to Jesus Project (Brother Andrew), 20 % to be given to Ministers in 3rd world countries for the purchase of motorcycles, which are suitable to the terrain, and 40% to both National and Statewide outreach including Sturgis, Daytona, Leesburg, Laconia, etc. The list goes on.
